You know those Calm commercials where the thing goes around in a circle for 15 seconds? Well, that never feels like enough for me, so I encourage you to give this video at least 30 seconds of your time, before reading this post. For about a month now, here and there, I've been getting guidance to do water rituals as part of my spiritual practice. And my roommates and I have a tentative plan to go to the beach sometime, but so far, watching & listening to videos like this one is the closest I have come to living that guidance. So I decided to write a post about it, to encourage myself to jump in (because the water's fine.) Another reason this post is a good idea is that water rituals are a great way to connect with your inner goddess, by way of feminine energies. The Inner Goddess of it AllWatch this video to see why I focus on connecting with your inner goddess, instead of a more general concept like the divine self. It's also one reason why I am so interested in water rituals. Universally water is seen as an ideal element to work with in rituals concerned with healing, restoration, and cleansing. It is also commonly included in ceremonies designed to deepen an individual’s relationship to their intuition and inner knowing. - Briana Saussy Try this Water RitualImagine the water ritual as a conduit for healing or for letting go, while connected to your inner goddess. Here’s one possibility for a bath or shower ritual... Light candles and play soft, soothing music. As you prepare your bath or shower, choose crystals to place along the side of the tub or on the counter to amplify the healing energy. Consider adding a few drops of your favorite essential oils or a handful of Epsom salts to enhance the experience. Ask yourself these questions (you could even journal them before taking the bath or shower.) (1) What parts of me are yearning for healing? (2) What am I ready to let go of today? Offer up whatever needs healing and allow the water to carry away any negativity or tension as you soak. Meditate on your intentions, visualizing the water as a portal that connects you with your inner goddess. When you step out of the tub, you are leaving behind whatever is not a frequency match for your divine self. How do you feel now, after using this water ritual for connection, healing and letting go? Did any new insights or energies surface? Would you consider using this practice as a regular ritual? Tell me your thoughts in a comment. See you next time! love, Jeanine
