I'm not foolin' when I say that I'm excited to begin this Spring edition of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. I get to see all my blogger friends again, and spend time with them this month, as we all share and exchange information and encouragement. Remembering RoySpeaking of our blogger community, I want to mention one of them who is no longer with us. Roy Ackerman was a staple of the UBC community who could be counted on to participate in our challenges. He had a brilliant mind, and at least half the time I commented on his posts, I was pretending I understood the intricacies of his topic. He was an inspiration to my son, though. I talked about Roy and showed him a post or two, and while he was deciding he wanted to be an engineer, hearing about Roy encouraged him. Roy was not a fan of the woo woo, and occasionally he rolled his eyes a bit when I wandered closer to the edge than he was comfy with, but he commented and tweeted faithfully nonetheless. And he was often kind when I wrote about the parts of my life that were difficult for me. During the pandemic, he told us everything he knew, so that we would be less afraid, going out of his way to share, on his blog. Roy was Jewish, and I was always interested to hear about the different holidays and what they meant to him. He also was a more faithful celebrant of Martin Luther King Day than I am. Sometimes, I was reminded what day it was by reading his posts. His congregation went to Selma and crossed the bridge, and I enjoyed seeing the pictures he shared along with his account of the experience. I already miss Roy, but I will miss him most when it's a day like today, the start of another 30-day blogging challenge. About MeAre you new here? Come in and have a cup of tea. I'm Jeanine and it's nice to meet you! I'm a spiritual self-care coach and ascension guide for other healers and lightworkers. I help them connect more easily and more deeply to the 5D versions of themselves, by using daily spiritual practices and moments of stillness. In addition to 5D versions of themselves, you could say higher frequency versions, higher self, divine self, divinity, inner goddess, etc. When I say healers and lightworkers, I mean anyone who knows they are here to help humanity ascend. Anyone who has a new earth mission. If this resonates with you, you might be interested in my free quiz, the Divine Archetype Quiz. If you're a UBC blogger, tell me what you've been up to in the past couple of months, and what you'll be writing about during the next 30 days. And speaking of 30 days, I'm in this membership where we were advised to write 50 blogs in a row before moving to the next blogging step. *cough* probably not going to happen *cough* But I was planning it, beginning with this challenge. The problem is that life happened while I was writing my posts in advance. And then I started getting spiritual guidance that I need to rest, do less, and focus on emotional self-care & connection to my divine self. So I have abandoned my plan to push to get to 30 posts, and we'll just see what happens. See you tomorrow! love, Jeanine

Just the other day I was wondering how Roy was doing - I didn't know he had passed away :-(

I agree, Tamara! He was definitely one of the smartest people I knew. I'm sorry about the quiz-in-a-book. The quiz itself is actually only 5 questions, but instead of sliding screens online, you get sliding pages. :)

Jeanine, thank you so much for this wonderful tribute to Roy.. and he will be sorely missed. I have had him rolling his eyes at some of my posts too, but he had a way about him and in his words that always always felt right... He inspired me so much to do better and continues to even today..

Yes, that is a perfect way to say it. He had a way about him. I still can hardly believe he's gone!
